Workplan - Overview |
In order to answer the four main questions posed by the SOCOHO project, necessary research was started in the six comparison countries. The documentation of the results can be found in the identically structured National Reports. The six National Reports form the basis for the Final Report on hand. This structure of the total project corresponds to an organisation in three phases:
|
Phase 1: 'From draft to detailed concept' |
During this stage the consortium partners:
- drew up first national overviews about the situation in the six countries chosen as subjects of comparison
- established common methodological principles for handling statistical data and other information in order to achieve high-quality comparable data.
|
Phase 2: 'Reports for the individual countries' |
During the second phase of the project, consortium partners drew up reports on their countries, which can be downloaded from the SOCOHO website. Each of these six reports complies with the methodological principles established in Phase 1. Analyses deals with the problems on national level. However to investigate segregation problems arising from growing social and ethnic inequality the situation in an important urban agglomeration was examined.
|
Phase 3: 'Final report' |
During the last phase of the project, under the guidance of SRZ (as consortium leader), the Final Report was drawn up which covers the following five points:
- summary of the statistics drawn up for the individual countries in the form of international comparative overviews
- comparative interpretation of the situations in the individual countries
- comparative interpretation of the situations in the cities studied
- summary assessment of the problem area dealt with in the SOCOHO project at European level.
